STRETCH MARK REVISION FAQ'S

What are fibroblast cells?

Fibroblasts are a type of cell that contribute to the formation of your connective tissue – the main connective tissue cells present in your body. Fibroblasts are responsible for the secretion of collagen proteins.

What are elastin and collagen?

Elastin and collagen are both proteins found in your skin. These two proteins work together to give skin its texture and shape.

Elastin is the primary component of elastic fibers and plays a vital role in maintaining the elasticity and tensile ability of your tissue.

The higher the levels of collagen in the skin, the more youthful looking the skin becomes. This is because collagen increases the skin’s softness, smoothness, and firmness. Collagen also helps the skin cells renew and repair themselves – which is why it’s key to assisting with treating unwanted stretch marks.

What causes stretch marks?

Stretch marks are a common yet often unsightly scar that develops on our skin when it stretches or shrinks too quickly. This abrupt change causes tearing to the dermal layer of the skin, resulting in stretch marks as the skin attempts to heal. These appear in a variety of colors and textures – red, pink, purple or even brown, and are sometimes raised and itchy. Eventually, these stretch marks will settle beneath the skin, forming a slight depression.

Stretch marks tend to appear on the abdomen, breasts, hips and buttocks, although they’re not restricted to these areas. Any sudden change in body size – whether it’s growth spurts, pregnancy, or muscle mass gain – can result in the formation of stretch marks. They are not harmful, and while they might fade over time, they can often cause unnecessary body image concerns.

With my advanced stretch mark treatment, I can drastically minimize the appearance of your unwanted stretch marks and help you become the best version of yourself, today!

Can old and deep stretch marks be removed?

Yes. Stretch marks are essentially a type of scar, and while they vary in size and depth, the appearance of these can be drastically reduced through advanced stretch mark treatment. This uses a combination of organic oils, vitamins, and peptides that boost the cellular turnover of collagen, elastin, and fibroblast cells in your skin.

How many sessions of advanced stretch mark treatment will I need?

Depending on the extent of your stretch marks, you will need between 2 to 4 treatment sessions to achieve your desired results. During the consultation, I can provide you with a better estimation of treatments needed so that you’re happy with the outcome.

Is advanced stretch mark treatment painful?

The advanced stretch mark treatment has very little pain, but I do provide pain management to ensure there’s no discomfort. You will experience some puffiness and redness after the procedure, but this will subside in a few hours to a couple of days at the most.
